Type III U.S. First Bureau Issue, picturing George Washington, paying the 2 cent first-class rate on an advertising cover for Great Eastern Fertilizer Co. in Rutland, Vermont. The cover, which was mailed to Unity Station, Pennsylvania from Rutland on November 25, 1895, has an advertisement on the front picturing French Emperor Napoleon on a horse and says "I LEAD". There is a Rutland (?) Vermont transit mark dated November 26th and Unity Station and Verona, Pennsylvania receiving backstamps dated November 27, 1895. There is a tear on the right portion of the stamp not affecting envelope (see scan).
