1911 Ohio Farm Auction Illustrated Broadside Poster Poland China Hogs Antique Date: 1911Artist: UnknownSize (in): 20.75” x 14”Size (cm): 52.7 x 35.6Condition: B+/A-Linen backed: NoThis is an original antique 1911 illustrated broadside poster advertising two auctions of livestock in Ohio. The first auction is shown as Monday, October 30th, 1911 at the farm of C.P. Lewis located one and a half miles north of Custar in Wood County, Ohio. The second auction is the following day, Halloween, Tuesday, October 31, 1911 at the farm of Aaron A. Ballmer two miles east of McClure in Henry County, Ohio. Both auctions feature primarily Poland China Hogs.  This broadside features three delightful primitive folk art style illustrations of the type of hogs being sold. This broadside touts “…a good opportunity to get into the hog business” and advises “come and bring your neighbors with you”. This broadside is printed one side only on lightweight cardstock and looks pretty well unused with just light handling wear, a couple small blemishes and a tiny nick off the tip of the upper right hand corner. 1916 1929 DR. MILES NEW WEATHER Almanac & Handbook- ELKHART IN VERY GOOD SHAPE

This is an ORIGINAL pair pf 1916 & 1929 « Dr. Miles New Weather Almanac & Hand Book ». Almanacs have great advertisements as well as lots of testimonials about the virtues of their pain meds from back in the day (see pics). The condition of the covers is good with minor wear. The splines are tight and intact with NO loose or missing pages. Brochures contain 64 pages that are also in very good shape.. Almanacs are in GOOD++ overall condition. FREE S & H. Lot of 5 Vintage Agricultural Almanac’s 1952,57,58,60,66 John Baer’s LancasterPa

These 5 Almanacs are complete. One has turned dark brown on the cover. They measure 8 1/2″X6″.I buy most of my pieces at auctions, flea markets and yard sales. I don’t know the history of the item. I am not an antique dealer or expert. I describe the item along with any flaws and markings I can find the best I can.
