History: Around 1870 partnered with Elijah Gammon, providing $40,000 in funding for the production of a horse-drawn grain harvester developed by brothers William and Charles Marsh. By 1872 the company showed $80,000 in profits, and in 1873 the name was changed to Gammon & Deering Co. to reflect Deering’s management role. By 1879 Deering was the sole owner and the company’s name had been changed to Deering Manufacturing Company.The Deering Company and the reorganized Plano Harvester Company competed aggressively with each other and the McCormick Havesting Machine Co., but in 1902, under his son’s direction, all three companies merged to form the International Harvesting Co.

This is a vintage original 1924-1925 winter catalog issued by The Brown Fence & Wire Company of Cleveland, Ohio.   This catalog is 32 pages including the covers measuring about 9.75” x 7.75”.   This catalog is illustrated throughout and features fencing, gates, steel posts, barb wire, lawn fencing, paint and roofing materials.     The front cover has an image of company founder and spokesman Jim Brown.   This catalog is a vintage original issued 95+ years ago.  The catalog is fully complete and well intact.   This catalog shows some toning from age and moderate handling wear.  There is a small spot at the center bottom of the front cover and inside front cover and the catalog was folded once laterally for mailing.  Overall condition is very good.  Email any questions.  Thanks for looking.  Payment Terms Winning bidders will receive an email at the end of the auction explaining the option for paying with Paypal.
