1920’s HISTORIC HOLSTEIN FRESIAN BANNER advertising CARNATION KING SYLVIA the $106,000 Bull and his grandson King Tillie Echo as well as the accredited herd and owner. This is an all original one of a kind banner from the 1920’s. Measures 8′ long x 3′ wide. Estate purchase from the the original owners farm in Sharpsburg, Md….Washington County…never has been offered for sale. There’s a plethora of information available on the internet of this well documented bull, the herd and his Grandfather from which I have included several snapshots in the pics. King Sylvia was judged and scored virtually perfect in 1919 in Seattle Washington and was purchased for $106,000 which translates to near 2 1/2 million today! I’m uncertain of where the banner was used…probably a fair or show. This is a banner that shouldn’t of survived but amazing did! Regardless what a historic unique addition to your collection that can’t be duplicated and certainly worthy of a professional restoration/preservation! Imagine this surrounded by a custom frame from reclaimed barn wood. Condition is as shown with soiling. I’m not sure of the material….possibly cotton or silk but it is solid. Colors are vivid.
