c.1940s Mitchell Colman & Co Ltd Robust Cutter Chopper Hammer Mill Brochure UK

This is an original vintage c.1940s brochure on The Robust Universal Cutter & Chopper for silage, greed feeds, artificial drying of manures and bedding and many other uses issued by Mitchell, Colman & Co. Ltd of the United Kingdom.  This brochure is a four page pamphlet format measuring about 8.5” x 10.5” with illustrations, specifications and detailed information on these farm machines.   Also included and inserted loosely in the brochure are catalog sheets for the Tornado Portable Grain Blower, MC Hammer Mills and also one for the Robust Universal Cutter & Chopper.    This brochure isn’t dated but the original owner made a pencil notation dated 1949 and the brochure looks to be from that late 1940s time period.   These items were stapled together and I removed the staple.  All pieces are vintage originals in very good shape overall with minor toning and light wear.   Email any questions.  Thanks for looking.  Payment Terms Winning bidders will receive an email at the end of the auction explaining the option for paying with Paypal. Selling are 10 advertisement pages for: Bolens Lawn Tractor from 1967-73 These advertising pages are by the FMC Corporation, for their Bolens line of lawn tractors. 1st ad (1967) has a color photo a Bolens Husky Lawn Tractor. It is the 1050 model. The tractor is driven by Golf Professional Arnold Palmer. Ad text starts “What’s Arnold Palmer (the ‘Arnold Palmer’ here is a signature) doing on a Bolens Huskey?” and continues about test-driving one of the different models. 2nd ad (1968) has a photo a Bolens Husky 1050 Lawn Tractor. 2 men are admiring the machine. Ad text starts “Bolens Huskeys have the only difference that makes a difference?” and goes on about the mowers. 3rd ad (1970) has a color photo a Bolens Huskey Lawn Tractor, model not named. Ad text starts “Big tractor ideas make Bolens Huskey a better breed” and goes on about the tractors. 4th ad (1971) has a color photo a Bolens Husky Lawn Tractor, model not named, it looks like a 613 or 813 nameplate on the side. The image also shows a Husky dog. Ad text starts “Now there’s a small Husky lawn tractor that works like the big ones” and goes on about the tractors. 5th ad (1971) has a color photo a Bolens Husky Lawn Tractor. It is the 1256 model. 1902-1903 H W Turney Poland China Hog Breeder Archive Letters More Lorimor Iowa

This is an archive of business correspondence, advertising cards and other material received by H.W. Turney of Lorimor, Iowa relating mostly to Mr. Turney business as a breeder of Poland China Hogs.    This lot includes about 30 envelopes most of which have letters or other contents relating to Turney’s hog breeding business with most having postmarks dated 1902 and 1903.    Many of the envelopes have printed advertising and several are from other hog breeders around the Midwest.    Also included are letters related to advertising purchased by Turney, hog sales, registration of hogs and more.  Also included are four printed cards including business cards with photographic portrait for William Godby of Shannon City, Iowa who was involved in real estate and hog breeding as well as one of Turney’s business cards. The first auction is shown as Monday, October 30th, 1911 at the farm of C.P. Lewis located one and a half miles north of Custar in Wood County, Ohio. The second auction is the following day, Halloween, Tuesday, October 31, 1911 at the farm of Aaron A. Ballmer two miles east of McClure in Henry County, Ohio. Both auctions feature primarily Poland China Hogs.  This broadside features three delightful primitive folk art style illustrations of the type of hogs being sold. This broadside touts “…a good opportunity to get into the hog business” and advises “come and bring your neighbors with you”. This broadside is printed one side only on lightweight cardstock and looks pretty well unused with just light handling wear, a couple small blemishes and a tiny nick off the tip of the upper right hand corner.
