This vintage guide is a must-have for home canning and freezing projects. Softcover, multi-color, 5 1/2″ by 3 3/8″ in size, complete with 18 numbered pages. This booklet is in excellent to « like new » condition. It has a little wear on the edges and a small stain in the lower right corner of the front cover (see scans). Here’s a VERY UNCOMMON 4 1/4″ wide by 6″ tall multi-paged advertising booklet from the 1900-1910s touting the use of « Formaldehyde » for use in farming & at home issued by a Stanford, Illinois company- The cover is titled: « Formaldehyde. Its uses upon the farm and in the home- particularly in treating diseases of potatoes and oats. » with a stamp from « Ferdinand C. Schapper 192 North Clark St. Chicago, Ill. » on front & another stamp from « M. Gerbrick, Stanford, Illinois » on the back- No pictures but TONS of great info and history about the uses of this deadly compound listed in detail inside- Has only light wear-A great historic item that would display so nicely!
